At SecTeer, we are passionate about doing things right. We strive to adhere to best practices in security and design.
We don't use the public cloud; we run our infrastructure based on microservices, distributed and sharded SQL databases, object storage, message services, and NodeJS. For the UI, we use React, Redux, and Bootstrap. We dig the no-semicolons code of JavaScript Standard Style.
We don't want to overcomplicate things, but our commitment to the security of our customers makes the confidentiality and integrity of our operations paramount. Thus, we aren't your typical "hey, let's slap some awesome app together based on this and that, we'll squash bugs later" kind of dev house.
This also means we never say, "Hey, we got this data in this table, let's display it to users." Instead, we look at making it valuable and relevant and spend time building SQL queries that combine and find the ideal data. Hence, there is a need to understand advanced features like foreign keys with Cascading Constraints and various Joins.
Still, this doesn't mean that we always try to predict the development of a specific feature years into the future in some futile attempt to get the structure right from day one. Instead, we often store data for upcoming features in JSON columns to ensure flexibility while the feature is in its infancy. Then, when it's "stable," we will review the data and build a proper, optimized SQL data structure with all the lovely migrations that follow.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in frontend technologies and frameworks like React, Redux, and Bootstrap, and not afraid to dig into the underlying HTML/CSS when needed.
- Ability to translate UI/UX design wireframes into actual code to produce visual elements of the application.
- A degree in software engineering or a similar background, as well as skilled self-taught programmers, are also welcome.
- Some years of development and programming experience.
- Familiarity with NodeJS.
- Experience in building intuitive, visually appealing, and highly usable interfaces.
- Stay up-to-date with modern frontend trends and UX best practices.
- Optimize applications for usability, speed and accessibility.
- Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and accessibility standards.
