Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RAN Software (Radio Access Network) Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing RAN features and functionalities across 4G LTE and 5G NR technologies. You will play a key role in ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of our mobile network infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement RAN software components based on 3GPP and O-RAN specifications

• Develop and optimize Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols such as RRC, RRM, MAC, PDCP, and SDAP

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RAN features into end-to-end network solutions

• Configure and test 5G nodes in lab environments and create RAN test setups

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to radio network performance and stability

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of RAN software

• Maintain technical documentation and participate in code reviews


Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or Go

• Hands-on experience with LTE/5G-NR RAN stack development (e.g., RRC, PDCP, SDAP)

• Solid understanding of 3GPP standards and O-RAN architecture

• Experience with F1AP and split CU-DU architectures

• Familiarity with ASN.1 and protocol stack implementation

• Proficient in debugging and performance tuning of real-time, multi-threaded systems

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools


Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized applications

• Experience with network simulation and testing tools (e.g., Wireshark, XCAL, NEMO)

• Agile development experience

• Prior experience in startup or fast-paced environments
