Job Description

As Director – Design Studio Digital Products, you will lead the vision, craft, and evolution of UX and UI across e& UAE’s consumer digital portfolio. This includes shaping world-class experiences across mobile apps, web platforms, Marketplaces and a Super App, ensuring journeys are intuitive, inclusive, and visually compelling.

You will champion design excellence and innovation, embedding human-centered design principles into every stage of the product lifecycle. By fostering a culture of creativity, craft mastery, and evidence-based design, you will establish the Design Studio as a strategic driver of customer satisfaction, brand strength and business growth.

The ultimate goal is to deliver seamless, scalable, and future-ready experiences that position e& UAE as the leading AI-powered digital telco.

Responsibilities

• Strategic UX Leadership & Execution
• Define and evolve a holistic UX and design strategy across a diverse consumer digital portfolio, spanning mobile-first apps, responsive web, Marketplace, Super App and omni-channel experiences.
• Lead the design system strategy and governance, ensuring scalability, accessibility and visual consistency across all touchpoints.
• Champion data-driven and research-led design decisions, integrating user insights, analytics and user testing into the design process.
• Design Studio Leadership & Craft Excellence
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary design studio of UX, UI, Content, and Research specialists, cultivating a culture of creativity, innovation, and design craft mastery.
• Oversee the end-to-end design process, ensuring interaction and visual design deliver to the highest global standards.
• Optimize studio operations, workflows, and tools, driving efficiency without compromising on design quality.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Advocacy
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Marketing leaders to embed design principles into roadmaps and agile squads, ensuring design integrity is never compromised.
• Represent the voice of design at senior leadership forums, advocating for user-centric priorities and influencing strategic decision-making.
• Safeguard design governance, maintaining a unified design language and preventing fragmentation across platforms.
• Innovation & Future Readiness
• Explore and translate emerging experience models such as AI-powered personalization, conversational UX, multimodal interfaces, and phygital touchpoints into actionable design frameworks.
• Foster a test-and-learn culture, experimenting with new patterns, interaction models, and digital ecosystems.
• Continuously elevate design maturity within the organization, raising standards for research integration, methodology, and craft quality.
  
  

Education

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, HCI, or related field.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Business, Design, or related human sciences.
  
  

Experience

• 10+ years of proven experience in digital design leadership, with a strong track record in leading multi-channel design studios at scale.
• Demonstrated expertise in UX, UI, and design systems, with a portfolio showcasing enterprise-grade digital ecosystems across apps, web, and marketplaces.
• Deep knowledge of interaction design, visual design, user research, accessibility, and inclusive design practices.
• Strong leadership experience in building and scaling design teams, mentoring senior designers, and establishing studio operating models.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and advocate for design priorities in cross-functional, agile environments.
• Strategic mindset with proven ability to balance design craft, innovation, and business impact.
• Familiarity with AI, automation, and emerging digital experience models is a strong plus.
