Role:
In this role, you will assist in managing and supporting our organization's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security across all systems.
You will work closely with senior engineers on deployments, upgrades, and issue resolution, with opportunities to expand your knowledge in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in configuring, monitoring, and maintaining LAN, WAN, WLAN, and basic firewall infrastructure.
- Set up and support switches, routers, access points, and VPNs.
- Troubleshoot network-related issues such as connectivity, latency, and access problems.
- Provide first-level escalation support for end-user connectivity issues.
- Manage and support PBX telephone systems.
- Understand and support point-to-point wireless connectivity solutions.
- Collaborate with senior network engineers on project implementations and system upgrades.
- Stay current on emerging networking technologies, tools, and security practices.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in networking.
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Routing & Switching).
- Hands-on familiarity with networking equipment from Cisco, Huawei, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, or similar vendors.
- Understanding of PBX telephone system configuration and management.
- Basic knowledge of network security principles (firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS).
- Proficiency with Windows/Linux networking tools and diagnostics (ping, tracert, ipconfig/ifconfig, Wireshark).
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Fortinet NSE are a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies.
