Software Engineer – Contract (8 Months, Hybrid)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week, with flexibility to split between downtown and Scarborough offices. Subject to change to 3–4 days onsite based on business needs.)

About the Role
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to join our Cloud & Platform Engineering team. The successful candidates will contribute to the design and integration of application security vulnerability detection tools, focusing on static code analysis and software bill of materials (SBoM) generation. This is an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in application security, automation, and enterprise-scale system integration.
What You’ll Do
- Solution Design & Integration: Develop and implement integrations between vendor APIs and enterprise systems, enabling automation of software composition analysis (SCA) and SBoM generation.
- Cloud Management: Configure and optimize cloud SaaS solutions and API integrations, applying best practices.
- Collaboration: Partner with development, operations, and security teams to address issues, conduct threat risk assessments, and refine processes.
- Security: Ensure security best practices and compliance with industry standards.
- Performance Optimization: Improve efficiency, reduce latency, and optimize resource usage across systems.
- Disaster Recovery: Create and implement recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
Must-Have Skills
- 10+ years of enterprise IT experience
- 3+ years as a Software or DevOps Engineer
- Strong programming and automation expertise with Python, Java, or similar scripting languages
- Experience implementing APIs and automation scripts
- Hands-on experience building automated security scanning into CI/CD pipelines
- Background in SSO, networking, and OS system administration (Linux and Windows)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Cloud solution deployment experience (GCP, Azure)
- Familiarity with security tools (SAST, SCA, DAST)
- Solution architecture experience
