Passport Health is seeking a motivated Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable network infrastructure that supports our growing business operations. Reporting to the IT Director, you will play a key role in ensuring network performance and security, while contributing to strategic technology initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructure to support business operations
  • Configure, manage, and monitor SD-WAN environments and ensure optimal network performance across multiple sites
  • Administer and troubleshoot Fortinet firewall systems and other network security appliances
  • Establish and maintain site-to-site and remote-access VPN configurations for secure connectivity
  • Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime
  • Assist with IT infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations as needed
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and change management records
  • Respond to escalated support requests and participate in on-call rotation as needed


Technical Skills

  • Deep knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and configuration best practices
  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls, FortiGate devices, and FortiManager
  • Proficiency in VPN configuration and maintenance (IPSec, SSL VPN, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols, VLANs, and subnetting
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark)
  • Experience managing network hardware (switches, routers, wireless access points)
  • Comfortable working with both on-premises and cloud-integrated networking environments
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management and pro-actively plan for patching and preventive measures to maintain security

  • Works collaboratively with IT team members to ensure seamless network operations and incident resolution
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with non-technical staff and leadership
  • Provides mentorship or guidance to junior IT staff when needed
  • Takes ownership of assigned tasks while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Ability to work with internal IT members, external MSP and vendors.
