The People Skills team is looking to hire Software Engineer to work in People Skills Services and APIs through the exciting journey of skills-based experiences across M365 Copilot. The scope of work would be to work with Senior Engineers to build and maintain a scalable, highly available skills service across the M365 ecosystem. Responsibilities
- Contribute to design, development and debugging of features in People Skills product.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C#/Python and ensure the quality bars are met/exceeded.
- Analyze and comprehend existing services and identify areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with Git and standard development workflows.
- Ability to read and understand large, complex codebases and contribute meaningfully.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience in design, coding, rapid prototyping, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Ability to work on cross-platform code.
- Experience communicating, collaborating and navigating ambiguity in a cross-group environment.
- Experience driving quality experience for customers.
