Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of scalable Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack libraries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and QA to deliver high-quality features.
  • Optimise app performance, memory usage, and battery consumption.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest Android trends and integrate modern development tools and techniques.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 7+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, and MVVM architecture.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and Material Design guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional Android development experience.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose and modular app architecture.
  • Familiarity with Firebase, GraphQL, and mobile analytics tools.
  • Contributions to open-source Android projects or published apps on the Play Store.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Trello.
