About the Role: We're looking for a frontend-focused engineer (60% frontend, 40% backend) who thrives on collaboration and practical problem-solving. You'll be the person who takes ideas from our designer, works with our backend engineer, and turns concepts into reliable, user-friendly experiences that just work.
What You'll Do
Build features that matter
- Create intuitive Vue.js/Nuxt.js interfaces that make personality assessments feel approachable and trustworthy
- Work closely with our designer to implement designs that truly serve users, not just look good
- Collaborate with our backend engineer to ensure smooth data flow and reliable performance
- Use Sentry to monitor user experience and quickly resolve issues before they impact people
- Translate between design vision and backend reality—you help everyone understand each other
- Partner with our designer using Figma plugins, Cursor, and Claude to rapidly test ideas
- Make practical technical decisions with the information you have—no endless analysis paralysis
- Support your teammates by writing clear, maintainable code that others can build on
- Focus on building features that work consistently rather than pursuing perfect architectures
- Implement solid error handling so users never feel lost or frustrated
- Balance speed with reliability—you ship regularly without breaking things
- Take ownership of the frontend experience while collaborating smoothly with the team
- Primary: Vue.js, Nuxt.js, Tailwind CSS (where you'll spend 60% of your time)
- Secondary: Laravel/PHP, MySQL (for API integration and occasional backend support)
- Collaboration: Figma, Sentry, Cursor, Claude for AI-assisted development
- Infrastructure: AWS, REST APIs, Stripe integrations
What We're Looking For
- Vue.js/Nuxt.js expertise - You build reliable frontend applications that users can depend on
- 5-7 years frontend experience with backend understanding (PHP/Laravel preferred)
- Collaborative mindset - You work naturally with designers and enjoy cross-functional teamwork
- Practical decision-making - You move forward with good-enough information instead of waiting for perfection
- Steady execution - You consistently deliver quality work without drama or surprises
- Team-first attitude - You care about making the whole team successful, not just your own work
- User empathy - You think about the person using the feature, not just the technical implementation

- Experience working closely with product designers and product managers
- Background in user-facing applications or tools
