The incredible opportunity

We’re looking for a Head of IT and Cybersecurity to help shape the future of secure, global IoT connectivity. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee and evolve and lead both our IT and cybersecurity strategy, and ensure the resilience and reliability of our cloud and satellite-connected systems.

Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer and based at our head office in Adelaide you’ll unify IT, cybersecurity, and network operations to safeguard and scale our systems, supporting both internal teams and global customers.

How you will drive success:

• Lead and mature Myriota’s IT and cybersecurity capabilities, delivering both strategic direction and hands-on support across systems, infrastructure, and security.
• Own day-to-day IT operations as well as optimising and supporting internal systems and resolving technical issues.
• Build and execute a forward-looking cybersecurity strategy, including threat detection and response, risk management, compliance (ISO, SOC, etc.), and security best practices.
• Shape and evolve Myriota’s IT infrastructure, spanning cloud services, enterprise networks, and internal collaboration tools to enable scale and performance.
• Act as the custodian for all things ICT and security, ensuring system resilience, governance, process efficiency and high availability across our business and connected networks.
• Work cross-functionally to integrate new tools, systems, and services while maintaining a secure and frictionless team environment.
• Manage technology vendors and service partners, balancing commercial acumen with technical depth to get the best from every engagement.
• Be ready to jump in where needed, whether that’s deploying new hardware, troubleshooting network issues, or briefing the executive team on emerging risks.
• Proactively educate and engage the wider company on IT and cybersecurity awareness, fostering a culture of digital responsibility, risk awareness, and secure practices.

What we value in you:

• Proven, hands-on experience in IT leadership. Experience in cloud-native environments, telecommunications, IoT, or satellite (NewSpace)is highly valued
• Comfort and capability with day-to-day IT operations from endpoint management, device setup, and troubleshooting, to supporting internal teams and systems.
• Deep expertise in cybersecurity, including secure systems design, incident response, risk frameworks, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated ability to scale and support enterprise IT systems, including cloud infrastructure , network architecture, and identity/access management.
• Strong grasp of connectivity technologies used in telecom or large-scale network environments.
• Strategic thinker who can align IT and cybersecurity with broader business goals and growth plans.
• Excellent communicator, able to translate technical risks and needs into business terms for executive and non-technical stakeholders.
• Vendor and budget management skills, with the ability to balance cost, performance, and long-term value.
• A self-starter with energy, purpose, and a pragmatic mindset, ready to lead from the front and build secure, scalable, and efficient IT environments.
