Role Summary

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of IT for the region to own, evolve, and lead all aspects of our technology landscape. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure and application portfolio. You will be a key business partner to the leadership team, translating business objectives into technology solutions that drive efficiency, improve service levels, and support our manufacturing and commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Strategy:

  • Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with both regional business goals and global IT directives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services and a clear return on investment.
  • Act as the primary IT business partner to the leadership team, building strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.

2. Infrastructure & Operations Management:

  • Own the end-to-end responsibility for the region's IT infrastructure, including networks, data centers, cloud services (IaaS/PaaS), storage, and end-user computing.
  • Ensure maximum uptime, performance, and security of all manufacturing and corporate IT systems.
  • Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives, leveraging cloud technologies where appropriate to improve scalability and resilience.
  • Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the region.

3. Application Management & Delivery:

  • Oversee the management, support, and lifecycle of key business applications, including ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), CRM, and other bespoke systems.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver application enhancements and new projects that improve operational processes.
  • Ensure seamless integration between core applications and shop-floor manufacturing systems.

4. Service Level Improvement & Governance:

  • Define, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for all IT services.
  • Establish and run a robust IT Service Management (ITSM) framework based on ITIL principles (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
  • Proactively identify trends and root causes of issues to implement permanent fixes and prevent recurrences, dramatically improving service quality and user satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with global cybersecurity policies and regional data privacy regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing IT for a multi-site ANZ region.
  • Proven expertise in managing and modernizing a complex technology infrastructure (network, data center, cloud) and a diverse application portfolio.
  • Demonstrable experience in significantly improving IT service levels, reducing incident volumes, and implementing ITSM best practices.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and vendor negotiation.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to engage, influence, and build trust with both technical teams and senior business executives.
  • Experience in managing critical incidents and leading major technology projects from conception to delivery.
