We are seeking experienced Full Stack Developers to join a large-scale program of work within the Federal Government. The successful candidates will contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality digital solutions that support key national initiatives.


Role Overview

As a Full Stack Developer, you will work under limited direction within an Agile Scrum Team, building and maintaining modern applications across front-end and back-end systems. You will be part of a collaborative environment, contributing to solution design, coding, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, and maintain applications using modern frameworks and tools.
  • Work collaboratively within a Scrum team to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Contribute to planning, documentation, and delivery using Azure DevOps.
  • Embrace DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment.
  • Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage risks, and showcase work.
  • Contribute to technical improvement initiatives across the program.
  • Participate in Communities of Practice within the Agile Release Train.


Skills & Experience – Essential

  • 3+ years’ experience as a developer in multi-disciplinary Scrum teams.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology (or related).
  • Strong experience with C#, .NET Framework, Java, and Dynamics 365 (depending on specialty).
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure preferred), Git, and DevOps pipeline deployment.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Lean, Kanban).
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g. xUnit).


Desirable

  • Experience with blockchain technologies.
  • Experience using Dynamics 365 as a backend system.


Contract Details

  • Initial term: 9 months
  • Extensions: Up to 3 × 12 months
  • Estimated start date: October 2025
  • Work arrangements: Hybrid (Canberra-based staff expected in-office weekly; interstate staff may work remotely but must attend quarterly planning onsite).
  • Location: All states and territories (ACT, NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, NT)
