ASP.NET/C# Developer – AI-Powered Systems
As an AI-powered ASP.NET/C# Developer, you'll maintain and modernize legacy applications while helping design scalable, high-performance solutions that support critical business workflows without disrupting end users.
About You
You are an expert ASP.NET/C# developer who leverages modern AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot, CodeLlama, or Codestral to accelerate development. You’re comfortable working with large, legacy codebases while progressively refactoring toward modern .NET standards. You thrive building performance-critical systems using TDD methods and automated testing. You move fast, use Agile methodologies professionally, and focus on finding the simplest solutions to complex problems.
Qualifications
5+ years ASP.NET/C# development experience (WebForms, MVC, and modern .NET frameworks)
Top-level English – excellent written and verbal communication for daily interaction with international stakeholders
Strong understanding of system design and optimization in legacy environments
Agile methodologies experience, startup environment passion
Independent problem-solver, team player willing to work flexible hours when needed
Technical Requirements
Core Skills
Expert ASP.NET (MVC, Web API) and C#
Experience with legacy system maintenance & modernization
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, stored procedures, and database optimization
Proficiency in cross-platform development (.NET Framework vs .NET Core/.NET 6+)
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, authentication/authorization flows, and web security practices
AI-Powered Development
Daily workflow integration with GitHub Copilot, CodeLlama, Codestral, or similar AI-assisted coding tools
Using AI for code generation, refactoring, and optimization while maintaining system reliability and performance
Integration & Infrastructure
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) for application hosting and scaling
Experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest) and TDD practices
Bonus Qualifications
Knowledge of front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Blazor)
Exposure to Node.js or Python for backend integrations
Cloud Services Experience (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda)
Security practices: XSS/CSRF prevention, secure authentication flows
Familiarity with financial APIs (e.g., Xero) or third-party SaaS integrations
Project Deliverables
Phase 1: Stabilize and enhance existing ASP.NET applications, improving performance, maintainability, and security
Phase 2: Progressive migration to modern .NET frameworks with optimized architecture and cloud integration
Benefits/Compensation
Fully Remote, Contract-based with U.S. company
$3,000/mo – $4,000/mo depending on experience and project scope
Company-paid PTO plan, 9am-5 pm EST, international team of 15+
