Position: Full-time
Department: Software & AI
About Us
Vanadium Solutions builds private AI systems for organizations that cannot risk cloud dependency. Our mission: privacy, sovereignty, and innovation. We are working with ministries, agencies, and enterprises to deliver agentic AI platforms that are secure, reliable, and human-centric.
The Role
We are looking for a Computer Scientist / AI Engineer with a strong background in building intelligent agents. You will design and implement dialogue agents that can interact via voice, text, and workflows running entirely in secure, self-hosted environments.
Your work will span:
- Designing modular agent architectures (LLM + RAG + tools).
- Building voice-first agents (telephony, STT, TTS).
- Applying NLP/NLU techniques for intent recognition, slot filling, and orchestration.
- Collaborating with networking/infrastructure colleagues to deploy agents in isolated, containerized environments.
- Driving research → production transition for real-world deployments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain agent frameworks for dialog, reasoning, and tool-use.
- Implement call flows and business logic for inbound/outbound agents.
- Work with vector databases & retrieval pipelines for contextual answers.
- Integrate agents with enterprise APIs (CRM, PMS, ERP).
- Optimize latency & reliability for real-time voice interaction.
- Contribute to agent evaluation methods (hallucination control, intent resolution rate, fallback strategies).
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team (networking, project managers, customer-facing staff).
- Write documentation & playbooks for reproducibility and scalability.
Requirements
- MSc/PhD in Computer Science, AI, Computational Linguistics, or related field.
- Strong experience with LLMs, NLP, or dialog systems.
- Hands-on experience with agent orchestration frameworks (LangChain, Haystack, custom).
- Familiarity with speech technologies (STT/TTS), preferably multilingual.
- Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker/Podman, Proxmox/K8s basics).
- Ability to design modular, testable architectures.
- Strong coding skills (Python preferred).
- Analytical mindset; comfort with experimentation and iteration.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Slovak/Czech/European languages in NLP.
- Knowledge of telephony systems (SIP, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH).
- Familiarity with security/privacy-first deployments.
- Track record of published work or open-source contributions in agents/LLMs.
Why Join Us?
- Work on cutting-edge agentic AI with real-world impact.
- Shape systems for ministries, enterprises, and critical industries.
- Small, highly skilled team → direct influence on architecture and vision.
- Competitive compensation + flexibility.
- Mission-driven: build AI that empowers people without compromising privacy.
