Backend Developer (Odoo)

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Developer (Odoo) to join a young and ambitious team in Louvain-la-Neuve.

You’ll play a key role in building, customizing, and optimizing Odoo backend modules, driving technical excellence, and delivering real business impact for a variety of clients

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom Odoo modules.
• Adapt and optimize standard Odoo modules to meet business needs.
• Integrate Odoo with other systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
• Ensure backend performance, scalability, and security.
• Participate in testing, debugging, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate closely with functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Apply clean coding practices and contribute to a high-quality codebase.

What we’re looking for

• Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent proven experience).
• Experience: At least 3 years as an Odoo backend developer.
• Languages: Fluent French & English (Dutch is a plus).
• Hard skills:
• Strong Python and Odoo ORM expertise.
• Proven experience in custom Odoo module development.
• PostgreSQL (incl. query optimization).
• API integration and connector development.
• Git/version control best practices.
• Knowledge of Linux server architecture and Odoo deployment is a plus.
