Join our dynamic product engineering team at Žalgiris. We specialize in cutting-edge mobile applications and web solutions that are redefining the fan experience in the sports industry. We're currently seeking a passionate Back-End Software Engineer to help shape the future of our digital products.

As a Back-End Software Engineer at Žalgiris, you'll be instrumental in developing robust services that power our fan-facing applications. You'll create seamless integrations with various platforms, manage real-time data flows, and collaborate with fellow engineers to deliver scalable solutions that align with our business objectives. Your work will directly impact how fans connect with and experience the Žalgiris brand across digital platforms.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop backend micro-services within a federated architecture
  • Implement and maintain GraphQL APIs for mobile and web applications
  • Create integrations with third-party systems
  • Develop event-driven communication systems between services
  • Design efficient database schemas and storage solutions
  • Optimize application performance, reliability, and security
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical improvements
  • Collaborate with team members through code reviews and technical discussions


Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS framework
  • Experience with GraphQL API development and implementation
  • Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database design
  • Strong coding practices with focus on maintainability and code quality


Nice-to-have Skills:

  • Experience with Fastify framework
  • Understanding of event-driven architecture patterns
  • Hands-on experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ
  • Experience with Docker containerization
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, Cloudflare)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline configuration and management
  • Experience with PHP (Symfony framework)



Salary:

  • Gross salary starts from 3500 EUR/month and is based on your skills and competences
