Do you envision yourself contributing to cutting-edge research that leverages voice data and digital biomarkers to revolutionize precision health? If so, the Luxembourg Institute of Health offers an exceptional opportunity to launch or advance your career in this dynamic and rapidly evolving field.

About The University Or Research Institute

The Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) is a premier public research organization dedicated to biomedical sciences, with a distinct focus on translating scientific discoveries into tangible health improvements. Situated in the heart of Luxembourg, LIH is renowned for its interdisciplinary research environment, state-of-the-art facilities, and strong collaborations with leading academic institutions, hospitals, and industry partners both within Europe and globally. Luxembourg itself is a vibrant, multicultural country known for its high quality of life, excellent infrastructure, and central location in Europe, making it an attractive destination for international researchers and professionals. LIH’s Department of Precision Health is at the forefront of integrating digital technologies and data-driven approaches to address major health challenges, offering a stimulating environment for innovation and career development.

Research Topic and Significance

The advertised position centers on voice AI and digital epidemiology within the Deep Digital Phenotyping (DDP) Research Unit. This research area is rapidly gaining prominence as the healthcare sector increasingly recognizes the value of digital biomarkers—objective, quantifiable physiological and behavioral data collected through digital devices. By analyzing voice recordings and other real-world data, researchers aim to identify subtle yet significant changes that may indicate the onset or progression of conditions such as diabetes or mental health disorders. The integration of AI, particularly machine learning and deep learning, enables the extraction and interpretation of complex patterns from large datasets, ultimately contributing to more personalized and effective healthcare solutions. The work at LIH is not only scientifically innovative but also holds substantial societal relevance, as it supports the development of non-invasive, scalable, and accessible tools for disease monitoring and prevention.
