How We Work
At Catawiki, Europe’s biggest marketplace for special objects, we tackle unique technical challenges at scale. Our platform handles millions of daily requests through scalable microservices in Ruby, built with Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Delivery, peer reviews, and strong observability. We learn fast, experiment often, and focus on quick recovery and iteration.
What You’ll Do
You’ll develop and improve backend services that power the Catawiki platform. Together with a cross-functional team, you’ll build scalable microservices, monitor performance, and use data-driven experimentation to deliver product innovations and an outstanding user experience.
What You’ll Bring
- 7+ years in software development, strong OOP background
- Experience with high-availability, low-latency backend services
- Collaboration skills in autonomous teams & mentoring juniors
- Ability to document, evaluate and communicate solutions
- Passion for learning, shipping features, and tackling challenges
- Ruby experience is a plus, but not required
