Pacific International is partnering with a global leader in electrical power solutions manufacturing. With a steeped history of innovation , the organisation is looking for a strategically minded Manufacturing Engineering Director with a progressive change management and growth mindset.
You will be overseeing manufacturing engineering for a division with sites across the EMEA region and the Middle East, with a focus on advancing product industrialisation, while maintaining a growth mindset.
The right candidate will have experience working in industries such as automotive, data centers and similar technical field. You will be leading large direct and indirect teams in a matrix organisation, with sites across Germany, the UK, BENELUX and the Middle East.
Responsibilities
- Overall ownership of manufacturing engineering strategy for the EMEA region.
- Lead end-to-end industrialisation of new and existing products, ensuring robust process development, scalability, and manufacturability at world-class standards.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing systems, including robotics, advanced control systems, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Identify current and future needs with regional and division leadership teams
- Champion lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, R&D, operations, supply chain, and external partners to ensure successful program delivery and alignment with regional market needs.
- Develop high-performance teams through coaching and mentoring
Requirements
- Master’s degree in engineering or relevant discipline
- 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering within Automotive, Aerospace, or Data Centre sectors
- Relevant certifications (E.G., CQE, CMQ, Six Sigma, Black Belt)
- Track record of successful leadership in cross-regional and multicultural teams in large matrixed organizations
- Demonstrable expertise in digital engineering, digital manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 transformation, including hands-on experience with digital twins, MES, advanced analytics, and smart factory technologies.
- Experience in driving organizational change and continuous improvement strategies
- Strong project management skills, with a record of delivering large-scale, capital-intensive engineering programs on-time and within budget.
- Progressive operational excellence and growth mindset
- Based in UK, Germany, Benelux regions
- Fluency in English, additional European languages a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel across the entire EMEA region
