DevOps Engineer

For one of our banking clients we are currently looking for an Platform DevOps Engineer. You will join a dynamic engineering platform team tasked with building and operationalizing a cutting-edge container platform on Microsoft Azure (AKS). This role is part of a larger transformation initiative within a major international financial institution, aimed at enabling agile, scalable, and secure digital service delivery.

You will work within a cross-functional DevOps team responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Azure-based container platform, empowering engineering teams across the organization with self-service capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain a scalable container platform leveraging Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Drive automation through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Git, ArgoCD, and other DevOps best practices.
• Perform version upgrades, system monitoring, and proactive fault resolution to ensure platform stability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to lower cognitive load and enable autonomous delivery of services.
• Foster a culture of innovation through experimentation, continuous learning, and technical mentorship.
• Ensure platform security, compliance, and high availability in a highly regulated environment.
• Contribute to cross-functional collaboration and uphold psychological safety within the team.
• Help shape roadmap initiatives for containerization and cloud-native transformation.

Technical Requirements:

• Strong experience with containerization technologies including AKS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Advanced hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure (networking, IAM, serverless, and storage).
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, CI/CD tooling, and ArgoCD.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Understanding of platform security and DevSecOps principles.
• Certifications in Azure or Kubernetes are a plus.
