Your mission
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented People & Operations Specialist to be the heart of our office. This is a crucial, hands-on role where you'll manage a wide range of responsibilities that ensure our team has a smooth and productive work environment. You will be the go-to person for all office and employee-related matters, providing essential support across the entire employee lifecycle. In this role, your responsibilities will extend beyond daily office management to have a direct impact on our culture and team's well-being.
The journey
Office and Facilities Management: Keep our office running smoothly. This includes managing office supplies, vendor relationships, and ensuring a safe and functional workspace for everyone.
Onboarding & Offboarding: Own the entire onboarding process for new hires, from preparing their workspace and equipment to managing new-hire paperwork and first-day logistics. You'll also handle the offboarding process for departing employees.
Employee Support: Be the first point of contact for employee questions and requests. This includes managing HR-related queries, helping with benefits administration, and acting as a confidential resource for the team.
Recruitment Support: Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job descriptions, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
Recognition & Rewarding: You'll be our culture champion! You'll play a key part in supporting our performance review process and helping us with employee engagement initiatives. In short, you'll help ensure our team feels valued, connected, and celebrated.
General Administration & Operations: Support the leadership team with administrative tasks and special projects as needed to keep the company's operations running efficiently. You will assist with the administration of our HR systems, maintaining accurate employee data, and ensuring all people-related processes run smoothly. You’ll be responsible for organizing employee records and helping with any compliance-related documentation.
What you’ll bring to the team
- 2-4 years of experience in HR operations roles, preferably within a startup.
- You're a doer who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and tackle any task, big or small. You anticipate needs and solve problems before they arise.
- You have a keen eye for detail and can manage multiple priorities without missing a beat. You're a master of checklists and follow-through.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and genuinely enjoy helping others. You can build trust and maintain confidentiality.
- You thrive in a startup environment where things move quickly and priorities can change. You're comfortable with ambiguity and ready to wear multiple hats.
