Kura is delighted to be recruiting for a UI / UX designer for an exciting start-up heling shape the visual identity of the brand across digital platforms. This role is ideal for a versatile designer who can create compelling visual content and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality creative assets.


The ideal candidate combines a strong design aesthetic with a deep understanding of user experience and digital best practices. You will have experience creating visual designs for dashboards - ideally involving financial data and and can present complex numerical or financial information in a clear and engaging visual format


Key Responsibilities


  • Design and enhance web and digital experiences with an eye for UI/UX best practices, usability, and visual hierarchy.
  • Create illustrations, infographics, and other visual content to support a range of campaigns, reports, and internal initiatives.
  • Translate complex ideas and information into visually engaging formats.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including marketing, content, and product to develop and maintain a consistent visual language.
  • Collaborate with external partners to develop assets for digital campaigns, email communications, and social media.
  • Maintain and manage the internal digital asset library, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and proper tagging of media.
  • Uphold brand consistency across all visual outputs and contribute to the ongoing development of brand guidelines and templates.


Requirements


  • Degree or formal training in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field – or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional design experience in a fast-paced digital environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Working knowledge of Figma or similar tools for interface design and prototyping.
  • Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
  • Solid grasp of UI/UX principles, with experience designing for responsive web and mobile.
  • Experience managing and organizing visual assets and digital libraries.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and time-management skills.


Nice to Have


  • Experience working in entrepreneurial or high-growth environments.
  • Skills in motion design or animation (e.g., After Effects or similar).
  • Experience with data visualisation or interactive graphics.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, HubSpot).
