Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead cross-functional New Product Development (NPD) initiatives from concept through commercialization. This role is accountable for driving successful execution of critical NPD projects by coordinating cross-disciplinary efforts, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and delivering high-quality products that meet business and customer needs. The Project Manager will report to the Senior Program Manager or Director of Program
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Direct and manage full project lifecycle for new product initiatives, from scope definition through manufacturing launch.
- Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resources, and risk management strategies to ensure successful delivery of milestones.
- Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, marketing, operations, and quality; ensure alignment and accountability through structured task delegation and follow-up.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and sponsors. Provide regular updates, escalate risks, and maintain transparency on project progress.
- Documentation and Governance: Ensure thorough documentation of project activities, decisions, and deliverables to maintain traceability and compliance with company policies.
- Conflict and Risk Management: Facilitate resolution of cross-functional issues and proactively identify risks and roadblocks with timely mitigation strategies.
- Scope and Budget Control: Monitor and manage changes to project scope and schedules; work closely with finance and operations to maintain budget adherence.
- Requirements Management: In collaboration with Product Management, ensure product requirements and specifications are clearly defined, maintained, and met throughout the development process.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of NPD processes by implementing project management best practices and tools to drive operational excellence.
- Meeting Facilitation: Lead regular project team meetings, capture and assign action items, and follow through on accountability.
