The specialist will be working on the core functionality of Capital.com’s website, ensuring it remains a reliable and scalable platform. This includes:

Build new features that enhance user experience and bring innovation to a global fintech platform.

Prepare the website for new products and services, making Capital.com the go-to destination for traders and investors.

Ensure compliance and reliability, keeping the platform secure and trusted across multiple markets.

Continuous improvement – enhancing the performance, security, and usability of the platform to provide a seamless experience for our clients.

The role will allow candidates to contribute directly to a high-traffic, global fintech platform, shaping how customers interact with Capital.com’s products and services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, secure backend applications using PHP and the Laravel framework
• Design, build, and optimize databases using SQL with technologies like MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Create and integrate RESTful APIs to support various applications and services
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to ensure a robust and efficient development lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, product-led environment to deliver high-quality solutions
• Document new and modified features clearly to facilitate team collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Communicate effectively with security, operations, and product teams to ensure alignment and smooth project execution
  
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional PHP development experience: Extensive experience with PHP, Laravel, and backend development technologies
• Proficient in creating APIs (RESTful APIs), handling authentication, managing database interactions, and integrating third-party services
• Proficiency in SQL, with a strong understanding of database design and optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD tools and testing frameworks to support an automated development lifecycle
• Experience working in a product-led, fast-paced environment: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams to deliver solutions in a dynamic environment
• Ability to ensure clear documentation of created/modified functionality to enable team collaboration and knowledge transfer

• Experience with Docker and containerization for development and deployment
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Experience with performance optimization and security best practices
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for deploying applications and services
