About the Role
We are seeking a highly qualified and proactive Project HSE Manager to join a leading construction group in the region. The role involves overseeing HSE activities across large-scale, high-value construction projects, ensuring compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and international standards. The Project HSE Manager will act as the key point of contact for health, safety, and environmental matters, driving a zero-incident culture and ensuring project HSE objectives are consistently achieved.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific HSE plans aligned with company policies, client requirements, and local regulations.
- Advise the Project Manager and senior leadership on HSE matters.
- Ensure site safety procedures are effectively implemented and followed.
- Provide expert guidance on government and local authority HSE regulations, including OSHAD/ADOSH compliance.
- Maintain HSE administration, documentation, records, and statistics.
- Conduct and facilitate risk assessments to identify hazards and set risk-reduction measures.
- Report, document, and investigate work-related injuries, incidents, and near misses.
- Analyze root causes of incidents and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance.
- Organize and deliver HSE training programs for project staff.
- Lead regular site audits, inspections, and observations.
- Prepare and present HSE performance reports for management and clients.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the project HSE team to ensure strong performance and adherence to safety culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or safety discipline.
- 15 years of HSE management experience within construction projects (15 years total career experience preferred).
Mandatory Certifications:
- NEBOSH IGC
- NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma
- ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
- ADOSHSF Practitioner Course
- OSHAD/Abu Dhabi Grade A/B/C registration
