Job Description

We are looking for a talented self-driven PHP Laravel Developer to join our development team, to support the delivery of current and upcoming projects.


The role is responsible for developing and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance custom software applications using a combination of PHP and Laravel.

This is a remote-working role for applicants based in the UK only.


Roles & Responsibilities

The right person will be achieve the following in this role:

  • Use PHP and Laravel open-source technologies
  • Drive consistent PHP/Laravel development methodologies across the team
  • Collaborate with design and product teams for features/updates
  • Design and maintain efficient API integrations between systems
  • Design efficient database schemas and optimise performance
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive developer feedback
  • Identify and address application performance bottlenecks
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on development progress
  • Attend daily stand-ups and maintain project tickets
  • Conduct client demonstrations showcasing product features


Experience

The right person will be have the following experience:

  • 5+ years PHP/Laravel developer experience with successful projects
  • Experience using PHP 8+, Laravel 10+, mySQL, Redis, AWS
  • API integration experience including RESTful services
  • Version control systems and collaborative development experience


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The right person will be able to:

• Explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Respond positively to changing priorities

• Work under pressure in fast-paced environments

• Use strong verbal and written communication skills


Additional Requirements

The right person will:

• Be available for occasional after-hours support when needed

• Travel for industry events, client and team meetings

• Have flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities
