Daice Labs, founded by MIT CSAIL scientists, specializes in developing hybrid AI frameworks that integrate today's models with symbolic reasoning and bio-inspired system design. We focus on building systems that learn continuously, generalize, and explain their decisions. Our two key tracks include a Product Lab, creating collaboration platforms for human-AI co-building, and an AI Research Lab, exploring natural intelligence principles to enhance AI architectures. Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for an Artificial Intelligence Engineer. The role involves developing and implementing hybrid AI models, focusing on system design of new architectures combining pattern recognition, neural networks, LLMs, symbolic reasoning, and current optimization techniques. Responsibilities include software development, conducting research in AI methodologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions. The engineer will be expected to stay current with the latest AI advancements and contribute to both product and research initiatives.

Qualifications
- Strong background in Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks
- Proficiency in Computer Science and Software Development
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Experience with hybrid architectures
- Experience with agentic architectures
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field is preferred
- Familiarity with symbolic models is a plus
- Familiarity with guided program synthesis is a plus
- Familiarity with bio-inspired system design is a plus
