About The Role

As a Data Analyst Intern at PMMC, you will gain hands-on experience working with healthcare data, supporting analytical projects, and assisting with data validation and maintenance. This internship is designed for students or recent graduates looking to develop technical skills in data analysis, SQL, and healthcare revenue cycle management. You will work closely with our data analytics team to ensure accurate data processing and contribute to meaningful insights that support our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with data imports, validation, and testing within PMMC’s analytics platforms.
• Support the maintenance of claims and payment data for assigned clients.
• Help identify and resolve data discrepancies and processing errors.
• Learn to use Transact-SQL (T-SQL) for querying and analyzing datasets.
• Work with healthcare ANSI standard formatted data feeds, including 837 and 835 files.
• Assist in documenting software defects and troubleshooting data transfer issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support reporting, consulting, and recovery services.
• Gain exposure to project management principles and healthcare contract modeling tools.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with SQL, Excel, and data analysis concepts (coursework or projects preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic understanding of healthcare data, revenue cycle management, or financial analysis
• Effective communication skills for documenting work and collaborating with teams.
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
