Company Description

The National College of Automotive Technology (NCAT) is a private college in Oman dedicated to supplying the automotive sector with a skilled workforce. As a leading technical, vocational, and educational institution, NCAT aims to qualify youth for careers within the domestic automotive industry by developing their professional and interpersonal skills to meet market demands. Job Requirements

  1. Must hold a PhD degree.
  2. Must be of Omani nationality.
  3. Must possess academic and administrative qualifications and experience relevant to the disciplines offered by the institution.
  4. Must hold at least the rank of Associate Professor (exceptions may be considered).
  5. Must have at least three years of administrative experience in the same field at a recognized university or college.

Required Skills

Academic and Technical Skills

  • PhD in a related field such as Vehicle Engineering and Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Distinguished research experience in the area of specialization.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of technical disciplines related to engineering, such as electrical systems, engines, design, and maintenance.
  • Ability to develop curricula aligned with the latest scientific and technological advancements in the field.
  • Active participation in international and local scientific conferences and workshops.
  • Supervision of graduation projects and applied research, guiding students toward innovation.

Administrative and Leadership Skills

  • Strategic planning and development of college programs in line with labor market needs.
  • Efficient management of budgets and academic resources.
  • Institutional change management and leadership of digital transformation processes within the college.
  • Development of academic policies and procedures to ensure quality and accreditation.
  • Crisis management and quick decision-making in emergency or unexpected situations.

Personal and Communication Skills

  • Strong communication skills with students, faculty members, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to build relationships with industrial institutions and companies to provide training and employment opportunities.
  • A well-liked leadership personality capable of motivating the team and creating a positive learning environment.
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills when dealing with external entities or strategic partners.
  • Conflict resolution skills among faculty members or students.
  • Active listening and providing psychological and academic support to students and team members.
