Senior Fullstack Engineer – Fully Remote (UK)

Salary: £100k - £130k (potentially more for an outstanding candidate with leadership qualities)

Location: Remote (UK-based) with flexibility to work a few weeks per year overseas

You’ll be joining an established scale-up in the social media technology space. Founded in 2016, the business has grown steadily, now supporting global clients with a platform that helps brands amplify their presence and connect with wider audiences. With strong year-on-year growth and a collaborative culture, this is a company where engineers can have a direct impact while shaping the future of a high-growth SaaS product.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join a fully remote engineering team of five. You’ll work closely with the Principal Engineer, CTO, and Product Manager, contributing to the development and scaling of the core platform.

This is a senior-level position with responsibility for backend architecture, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating on key technical decisions. The role also offers a clear pathway to grow into a Tech Lead or Head of Engineering position as the company continues to expand.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing, developing, and deploying fullstack applications with React, Angular, Typescript, Tailwind, and Node.js.
  • Owning and evolving backend architecture to ensure scalability and performance.
  • Partnering with the Principal Engineer, CTO, and Product Manager on technical strategy, product roadmap, and feature delivery.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior engineers, fostering best practices and professional growth.
  • Collaborating across the product lifecycle – from ideation to release and optimisation.
  • Driving high standards in testing, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience with React, Typescript, Tailwind, and Node.js.
  • Proven background in backend architecture and designing scalable systems.
  • Experience working in small, distributed engineering teams.
  • Track record of mentoring or leading engineers, with a passion for team development.
  • Strong understanding of agile practices, version control, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Clear communicator, comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Why Apply?

  • Competitive salary up to £130k + great benefits
  • Fully remote role (UK-based) with flexibility to work a few weeks per year overseas.
  • Be part of a scale-up in the social media space with global reach and impact.
  • Opportunity to grow into Tech Lead / Head of Engineering as the company scales.
  • Collaborative, supportive environment with direct access to senior leadership and product decision-makers.
