About PharmAppy

An exciting opportunity has opened up here at PharmAppy to join a fast-growing startup on a mission to revolutionise how patients and pharmacy teams connect.

PharmAppy is building patient-facing technology for the pharmacy of the future. Today, our platform is the only one in the UK fully integrated across both GP and pharmacy workflows, giving patients a seamless way to order and track prescriptions, manage dependants, communicate with their pharmacy, and book services - all connected directly to innovative pharmacy software.

But prescriptions are just the start. Our vision is to empower pharmacies to deliver more private healthcare services, put those services directly in front of patients across app and web, and create stronger, more proactive relationships through technology.

We’re growing quickly, already working with leading UK pharmacies, NHS-approved, and recently recognised in GP Bullhound’s Northern Stars and the Startups 100. It’s a very exciting time to join our journey and help shape the future of community healthcare.

We are actively seeking an ambitious Junior React Native Developer to join our team in Manchester.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and maintain features in our ReactJS sites
  • Translate designs into responsive, accessible UI components
  • Integrate front-end components with our Node.js APIs
  • Write clean, scalable code while learning best practices in testing and optimisation
  • Contribute to sprints, stand-ups, and code reviews with mentorship to accelerate your growth

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in ReactJS
  • Essential skills in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
  • Familiarity with Git and npm
  • Eagerness to learn React Native and API integrations
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for building high quality technology products
  • Driven to succeed and grow with the business

Bonus skills:

  • Knowledge of Node.js
  • Understanding of accessibility and responsive design principles

What you’ll get:

Career & Growth

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Mentorship & training budget (courses, conferences, certifications)
  • Clear progression framework with reviews every 6-12 months
  • The opportunity to work on meaningful projects impacting patients and pharmacies nationwide

Work & Flexibility

  • Hybrid working option (e.g. 3 days in office, rest remote)
  • Latest hardware and software setup (MacBook etc)
  • Flexible hours (start/end within a window to suit personal life)

Wellbeing & Lifestyle

  • Extra annual leave for birthdays or long service
  • Wellbeing (gym, mental health apps etc)

Culture & Team

  • A supportive, ambitious team shaping the future of pharmacy technology
  • Regular team socials and offsites (meals, activities, away days)
