Company Overview

We are a leading consultancy operating across the UK and Ireland, specialising in the delivery of complex infrastructure projects. With a growing portfolio and a long-term commitment to driving sustainable and smart infrastructure, we are expanding our delivery team. We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive NEC contract experience to lead a high-profile infrastructure project. This is a senior-level position offering the opportunity to contribute to strategic contract delivery and play a key role in the expansion of our NEC contract management capability across major projects.


Role Overview

Long O Donnell are a named partner on the newly formed AMP8 delivery framework with a major water company based in the Midlands, this will extend our relationship for at least the next five years. The partnership is set to be responsible for over £3bn of major infrastructure in the North West of England. Investment includes upgrades to wastewater treatment works and reducing storm overflows through the delivery of the largest spill reduction programme in the UK. As part of this partnership, we are looking to expand our project management team. We are looking for water experienced Project Managers to complete this partnership on a long term basis.

Experience

  • Experience of utilities/water infrastructure project and / or programme management, including end to end lifecycle experience or specialism in development or delivery stages.
  • Experience of complex and multiple forms of procurement and managing NEC / other form contracts.
  • High level of commercial management including complex commercial arrangements
  • Experience of building and leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing contractors, consultants and other advisors on infrastructure projects and programmes in differing environments, ideally multiple sectors.
  • Experience of consultancy and/or client-side project management.
  • Familiarity with sustainability and application to projects / programmes.
  • Delivery within complex operational environments
  • Experience of working and reporting in complex stakeholder and regulatory environments

Qualifications (preferable)

  • Degree level qualification in a management, construction or infrastructure related subject, or equivalent experience.
  • Project management certification (e.g. APM / PRINCE2 / MSP / ChPP).
  • NEC Accreditations or qualifications.
  • CSCS / equivalent.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent H&S qualifications
  • CDM awareness
  • Soft skills / leadership certification
