The Role
As a Senior PHP Full-Stack Engineer on our Technology Department Team, you will be a pivotal leader within our engineering team, responsible for architecting, developing, and deploying robust and high-performance applications. This role will be applying deep expertise in both backend PHP frameworks and modern frontend technologies. The ultimate goal is to solve complex technical challenges and deliver exceptional products, while also elevating the team by mentoring other engineers, championing coding best practices, and ensuring the long-term health and innovation of our technology stack.
To drive success in this role, you will have deep technical experience, particularly across Laravel and VueJS or very similar frameworks. As the Senior Engineer you will be providing guidance for technical planning of new features, solving the most complex problems, improving our codebases to optimise speed of development and delivery, and increase developer efficiency. Regular collaboration with other engineers, product managers, data analysts, designers and data scientists will be key in ensuring our team’s goals are achieved.
This role will be based in our Sydney office and will be a hybrid working role. What does hybrid mean here at CG? Monday, Tuesday and Friday collaboration in office, while you can enjoy plenty of flexibility with the added benefit of one wellness day a month available.

- Strong PHP and ideally Laravel experience
- Strong frontend and ideally VueJS experience
- Ideally infrastructure skills - especially AWS and kubernetes
- Ideally broad knowledge of data stores, including RDBMS, KVDBs and Document DBs
- Ability to design and reason about complex architectures and systems
