Functional Test Manager

We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead testing activities for complex digital projects, including mobile applications, websites, intranets, and other interconnected systems. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of critical IT systems. This position requires strong leadership, excellent coordination skills, and deep expertise in testing methodologies within multi-stakeholder environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies (functional and non-functional) aligned with project objectives.

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee testing activities across multiple environments and projects.

• Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of testers, fostering professional growth and a cooperative team environment.

• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and testing scope.

• Ensure testing processes comply with industry best practices and standards (ISTQB, ITIL, etc.).

• Monitor and report on testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to project leadership.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in test management for complex digital projects.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies, both functional and non-functional.

• Experience in agile environments and multi-stakeholder projects.

• ISTQB Foundation and Advanced certifications are highly desirable.

• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, TestLink, Azure DevOps, and test automation frameworks.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• Fluent in Dutch or French and English.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with mobile app testing (iOS & Android), web applications, and intranet systems.

• Familiarity with API testing, security testing, and performance/load testing.

• Knowledge of CRM systems, databases, and integration testing.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
