The Data Analyst will join the Analytics team within the Clients & Markets Directorate. The mission is to leverage, process, and enhance data to support business decision-making. The Data Analyst provides advanced data science expertise to optimize processes, support data-driven management, and contribute to the strategic objectives of the Clients & Markets Directorate.
Job Description
- Start Date: Ideally as soon as possible
- End Date: 31/12/2026 (estimated duration: 15 months)
- Location: Charleroi
- Mobility: A driving license and personal vehicle are required due to limited public transport access; travel to other sites may be necessary
Data Analysis & Exploitation:
- Explore and analyze available data to identify trends, correlations, and actionable insights for business needs
- Conduct advanced analyses on large datasets
- Share findings with stakeholders
- Analyze trends, process performance, and operational efficiency in Clients & Markets
- Contribute to organizational projects related to Clients & Markets data
- Develop prospective scenarios to anticipate business needs
- Design dashboards and interactive visualizations (Power BI) to facilitate interpretation by business teams
- Share results with both business and IT stakeholders
- Apply best practices in self-service data and data modeling
- Identify data inconsistencies or anomalies and alert stakeholders
- Participate in documenting models and measurement definitions
- Train and support business users in leveraging reports and datasets
- Act as a liaison between business and IT to formalize requirements
- Promote a data-driven culture and autonomy in data usage within teams
Profile Sought:
- University degree or higher education in IT, data, or equivalent
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proven experience with market processes in the energy sector
- Experience with metering data management in the energy sector is a plus
- Ability to understand business challenges and their link to data
- Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously with various stakeholders
- Intellectual curiosity about technology and data management
- Pragmatic approach to solution delivery
- Proficiency in programming languages and data management tools: Python, SQL, R
- Proven experience with PowerQuery
- Proven experience in data modeling
- Proven experience with Power BI
- Languages: French and/or Dutch, with good English proficiency
