Are you an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist with a passion for senior executive recruitment and a talent for engaging top-tier leaders? An opportunity has been created for an experienced and innovative Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition and Strategy group to implement a range of innovative strategies to attract and build a skilled workforce that meets the Department’s current and future needs.


As a Talent Acquisition Specialist focused on senior executive recruitment, you will work closely with our Talent Acquisition Partners and senior leaders to design and implement targeted talent attraction strategies. This will include proactively sourcing and engaging with executive-level candidates, identifying and leveraging platforms to identify and approach top talent and curating and maintaining talent pipelines. Additionally, you will manage reporting and develop market insights to inform decision making.


Your deep recruitment expertise will be vital in developing bespoke assessment methods tailored to evaluate the capabilities of candidates at the highest levels of leadership. In this role, you will also facilitate internal mobility within the Department and cross-sector for our employees, as well as oversee direct appointments for executive roles, ensuring alignment with NSW Government policies and best practices.

What you will bring to the role

We’re looking for someone who is a skilled and innovative recruiter who has exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills which enables you to build strategic partnerships with executive stakeholders to understand their unique resourcing needs. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have proven experience in executive search and direct sourcing, with a proactive and creative approach to talent acquisition.


It is essential that you have a strong attention to detail, particularly in drafting high-quality briefing notes and advertising content, coupled with the ability to use data-driven insights such as LinkedIn Talent Insights to inform sourcing strategies based on current market trends. You’ll also bring proven experience in providing an elite customer experience at all touch points for your stakeholders with a focus on delivering a high standard of candidate care.


What is an essential requirement:

  • Sound experience in recruitment best practice including recruitment approaches, marketing and social media initiatives and policies, processes, and legislative requirements.
