As a Database Administrator at OlyBet, you will be the driving force behind our data infrastructure, ensuring every system runs at peak performance. You’ll work alongside diverse teams to keep our databases secure, responsive, and ready to support the ever-evolving needs of our business.

What will you be doing?

• Plan, create, and maintain databases to meet business requirements and ensure optimal structures.
• Develop and execute backup plans, test recovery procedures, and implement high-availability solutions such as clustering, Data Guard, or Always On.
• Monitor database performance using tools like SQL Profiler, tune queries, and adjust procedures for better efficiency.
• Implement robust security measures—including access controls, encryption, and auditing—to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
• Schedule and apply database updates, monitor growth, and plan expansions to maintain system stability and compliance.
• Work closely with development teams to design efficient database structures, while maintaining comprehensive documentation of configurations and policies.

Does this sound like you?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, orrelevant experience in this field
• Hands-on experience with major relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL), along with familiarity in data warehousing (e.g., Vertica) and NoSQL solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and support robust high availability/disaster recovery setups—like clustering, replication, or failover strategies—keeps mission-critical systems running smoothly.
• A strong grasp of backup and recovery processes, plus in-depth knowledge of database security requirements, helps maintain integrity and meet industry standards
