I’m Joonas, CEO and founder of MeetingPackage. We’re hiring a strategic yet hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our next chapter. In this role, you’ll set technology strategy and architecture, grow and inspire a high-performing, highly engaged engineering team, mentor and coach engineers, and build trust across functions.

You’ll lead our ~20-person Engineering team, guiding day-to-day execution and long-term vision. You'll partner closely with Product to move fast while upholding quality. You’ll live our core values daily: Transparency, ownership, teamwork, ambition, and laughter. This new global leadership role is based anywhere in Europe, with regular time at our Espoo HQ in Finland.

As a member of the Management Team, you’ll shape company-wide decisions and build a culture of technical excellence and cross-functional collaboration. Our Engineering team builds the technology that enables suppliers and bookers to have a seamless group-booking experience on our platform while being connected to different integration systems. This unique position sets us apart in the hospitality industry, and we’re continually strengthening it with targeted technical improvements and automation.

In this role, you will

  • own the technology strategy and vision. Define and deliver a roadmap that balances innovation, scalability, reliability, security, and developer experience. You translate business needs into a clear, executable plan with measurable outcomes.
  • scale our platform. Architect and evolve systems for international growth, complex integrations, analytics, and AI-powered capabilities. Ensure the platform is secure, performant, and observable.
  • lead the Engineering teams. Hire, coach, and inspire high-performing, engaged teams across locations and time zones.
  • build an Engineering culture. Set the bar and drive technical excellence, ownership, and trust across the Engineering.
  • collaborate across teams. Partner with internal teams to create solutions.
  • Join our Management Team. Work closely with our CEO, Joonas, and advise the rest of the Management Team with real-time engineering and performance insights.

You'll feel at home if you

  • have 10+ years of senior engineering leadership (CTO, VP of Engineering, or similar) focusing on SaaS or related tech industries.
  • have scaled engineering teams and operations through multiple stages, from ~20 to 100+ people by designing the engineering teams and organisation, hiring and leading at every level (ICs, engineering managers, and senior engineering leaders), implementing effective delivery practices, and continually evolving the culture.
  • partner directly with the C-level and management team to drive strategic initiatives and deliver company goals.
  • bring architectural depth and set a clear technical direction for scalable, secure, and resilient platforms, and lead major modernization and migration initiatives.
  • have AI product experience, embedding AI/ML into SaaS products.
  • be both a strategist and hands-on where it matters - own the architecture roadmap, translate data into decisions, and align cross-functional teams.
  • take ownership and show ambition, continuously improving engineering excellence while exploring and learning new ideas.
  • bring security, compliance, and reliability fluency. You are familiar with ISO 27001 (or equivalents; you’ve led security reviews, audits, or compliance programs.

  • communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
  • are based in Europe and can travel to our Espoo HQ in Finland regularly as needed.

About MeetingPackage

We are a software company that allows hotels and event venues to sell, operate, and manage their Meetings & Events spaces and services. We improve the Meetings & Events booking process for meeting planners and event venues. We integrate with venues’ existing Property Management, Sales & Catering, and back-office solutions while delivering products to all customer-facing channels. Products include Venue & Sales Management Software, an online Booking Engine, and a Meetings & Events-specific Channel Manager. We aim to provide more than 1 billion USD of annual revenues to our venue partners by the end of 2025. 🚀
