The Challenge:
Join our infrastructure team at a pivotal moment. We need someone who can balance day-to-day operational excellence with driving strategic initiatives like developer self-service capabilities and infrastructure modernization. You'll have the opportunity to reduce technical debt, implement best practices, and build systems that empower our entire engineering organization.
What you'll do:
- Design and implement scalable AWS infrastructure supporting our investment products platform
- Lead developer empowerment initiatives - helping teams become more self-sufficient with infrastructure
- Modernize our CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices
- Build robust monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions
- Mentor team members and contribute to infrastructure strategy, including driving automation initiatives to reduce manual overhead
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities
- 5+ years of DevOps/Infrastructure engineering experience
- Deep AWS expertise (ECS, RDS/Aurora, networking, security)
- Infrastructure as Code proficiency (Terraform)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures
- Track record of improving infrastructure practices and processes
- Excellent communication skills - you'll be collaborating across teams
- Problem-solving mindset with focus on sustainable solutions
- Experience with Hashicorp Cloud Platform
- Experience building self-service platforms for development teams
- Financial services or fintech background
- Experience with high-traffic, high-availability systems
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration
