For our client, a prestigious financial institution with a forward-looking vision, we are seeking a highly analytical and strategic professional to join their Financial Strategy & Analytics division.
This unique role bridges the gap between high-level financial strategy and advanced data science, offering the opportunity to directly influence the organization's long-term financial sustainability and market impact. You will be instrumental in transforming complex data into actionable strategic insights for senior leadership.
Your Role & Impact
Working within a centre of excellence, you will collaborate with both the Financial Strategy (FS) and the Analytical Center of Expertise (ACE) units. Your primary mission will be to support the development of the company's financial strategy through robust data analysis, sophisticated modeling, and clear, insightful reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Performance Management: Own and enhance the Strategic Target System (STS), from defining and calibrating key performance indicators (KPIs) to automating data pipelines and producing quarterly scorecards for management.
- Executive Reporting & Storytelling: Translate complex financial and performance data into clear, compelling analytical reports, strategy papers, and presentations for Senior Management and the Board of Directors.
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Contribute to the creation of robust financial models and dynamic datasets, including balance sheets and other financial statements, to support scenario analysis and long-term planning.
- Data Science & Analytics Champion: Serve as a subject matter expert in data analytics, developing advanced analytical tools and models. Promote a data-driven culture by providing guidance and support to colleagues across the finance function.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage in high-impact, cross-departmental projects, providing critical data-driven insights and strategic financial perspectives to drive key corporate initiatives.
Essential Qualifications:
- A Master's degree or equivalent in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Strategy, or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
- A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in a highly analytical role, such as data analytics, business intelligence, financial modeling, or corporate strategy, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Data Analysis & Programming: Proven expertise in querying and manipulating large datasets using tools like Python, R, or SQL.
- Data Visualization: Hands-on experience creating insightful dashboards and reports with platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Spreadsheet Mastery: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is a must; experience with VBA is a plus.
- Complete fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Experience in strategic dashboarding and KPI framework design is a strong advantage.
- Solid understanding of quantitative modeling, financial projections, and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of statistical methods (e.g., regression analysis, A/B testing) and their business applications.
- Previous experience in project management.
- Knowledge of other EU languages would be a plus.
- Impact: A high-visibility role where your analysis will directly inform strategic decisions at the highest level of the organization.
- Growth: An opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and data science, developing a unique and in-demand skill set.
- Culture: A collaborative, forward-thinking environment that values data-driven insights and innovation.
