We’re recruiting on behalf of Deutsche Bank, for a Junior Site Reliability Engineer role in their Bucharest technology center.
This is a hands-on position focused on supporting live applications running on Unix/Linux and Oracle. You’ll be part of a global team, contributing to incident resolution and system stability, while continuing to develop your technical expertise in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2 support for internal applications across distributed environments
- Investigate incidents on Unix/Linux systems and perform log analysis
- Run SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting in Oracle databases
- Monitor and check scheduled jobs (Control-M, Autosys or similar)
- Follow ITIL processes (incident, problem, change)
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams
- Maintain documentation for procedures and resolutions
Required Skills
- Previous experience in production or application support (internship, junior role, or project work)
- Good understanding of Unix/Linux (commands, logs, file systems)
- Basic scripting skills (Shell, Bash, or similar)
- Solid SQL knowledge (joins, group by, filtering, troubleshooting)
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy)
Nice to Have
- Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Geneos)
- Familiarity with job scheduling (Control-M, Autosys)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)
- Interest in SRE principles and automation
- ITIL certification
