Full Stack Developer

We’re looking for a Medior Full Stack Developer (Frontend-Focused) to join the Hypernode Tech Team. Hypernode is a specialist managed hosting provider with a complete focus on e-commerce. On our hosting platform, we host web shops built with Magento, Shopware, WooCommerce, and Akeneo among others. We collaborate extensively with website builders and developers to provide top-notch hosting solutions for their shops. We are the market leader in the Benelux region, and our growth ambitions now extend far beyond. Hypernode is part of team.blue, a leading digital enabler for companies and entrepreneurs, serving over 3.3 million customers in 22 countries, supported by 3600+ colleagues across Europe.

What your day looks like

You’ll be part of an agile team, building, improving, and maintaining Hypernode’s service offering. We value code quality, write automated tests (unit and integration), perform code reviews as standard, and follow continuous delivery practices.

Together with your colleagues you will work on diverse projects such as:

• The Hypernode Control Panel for managed hosting.
• Internal and external APIs and client libraries.
• Our automation engine.
• The popular Magento security tool MageReport.
• Various other web services that are written in Python and Django.
• You’ll collaborate closely with a motivated development team and stakeholders across technical, commercial, product, and operational areas, all with the goal of delivering the best possible services for our customers.

Qualifications

• Professional experience with Python or Django.
• Experience with JavaScript and CSS.
• Experience with version control workflows (we use Git & GitLab).
• Experience designing, building, and integrating APIs.
• Interest in modern web development and the ever-evolving front-end landscape.
• Understanding of browser concepts on a deep level (web vitals, web profiling and page rendering).
• Capable of reasoning about complex systems and interconnected (micro) services.
• Familiar with concepts related to servers and Linux, clusters, domain registration and SSL.
• Able to debug and troubleshoot across the full stack (frontend, backend, server).
• You are willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Great communication skills (our team language is English, Dutch when possible).
