Senior Software Engineer – Java (SAINT Accounting Application)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Java) to join our small but dynamic SAINT accounting application team. Our team works in an agile environment, driving modernization of a core financial system that plays a critical role in our business.

In this role, you’ll go beyond coding — you’ll contribute to the full product lifecycle: from development and testing to support and business understanding. We value curiosity, collaboration, and a hands-on mindset.

• Develop and enhance the SAINT accounting application using Java.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand financial processes.
• Participate in Agile 3-week sprints and contribute to continuous improvements in ways of working.
• Support migration projects including:
• Moving the client from WebSphere to OpenShift.
• Upgrading from Java 8 to Java 17.
• Contribute to testing, troubleshooting, and business support when needed.

• Backend: Java (migration from Java 8 → 17)
• Database: DB2 on mainframe
• Application Server: WebSphere (transitioning to OpenShift)
• Build Tools: Maven

• Solid experience in Java development (senior level).
• Familiarity with Maven and related build tools.
• Interest in finance/accounting systems or a willingness to learn.
• Team player with a proactive mindset and ability to handle both development and support tasks.
• Experience with modernization projects (migration, upgrades, cloud) is a plus.
