You’ll join a collaborative team at a pivotal stage—contributing directly to our iOS app, design system, and delightful mobile experiences.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As our Software iOS Developer Intern, you will help craft fast, elegant, and accessible experiences for Smart Beauty on iPhone (and iPad where relevant). This is a hands-on role working with modern Apple frameworks, component libraries, and design-to-code workflows in a startup environment.

iOS Development

• UI Implementation: Build responsive, pixel-perfect interfaces using SwiftUI (and UIKit where needed) in Xcode.
• Design System: Implement reusable components with Swift and SwiftUI, contribute to our in-house design language (glassmorphic/“liquid glass” styles).
• State & Data: Integrate REST/GraphQL APIs; manage state with Combine or Swift Concurrency (async/await); handle auth, data fetching, and caching.
• Architecture: Work within MVVM/Clean patterns, modularize features, adopt Swift Package Manager for dependencies.
• Persistence: Use Core Data or lightweight stores where appropriate; handle secure storage (e.g., Keychain).
• Performance: Optimize rendering and memory using Instruments; reduce app size, improve startup time, and smooth animations.
• Accessibility: Follow Apple HIG and WCAG; ensure VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and keyboard navigation support.
• Quality: Write unit/UI tests with XCTest; maintain clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Release & Analytics: Contribute to CI/CD (e.g., Fastlane), TestFlight builds, crash/error monitoring (Firebase Crashlytics), product analytics (Firebase/Amplitude), A/B tests and feature flags (Remote Config).
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers in Figma; participate in UI/UX feedback cycles and usability checks.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-moving environment.

Ideal Candidate:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (compulsory internship required).
• Experience with Swift and Xcode; familiarity with SwiftUI and UIKit.
• Understanding of networking (REST/GraphQL), JSON parsing, and async programming.
• Comfortable using Git for version control and collaboration.

Bonus Points For:

• Combine and Swift Concurrency, Core Data, StoreKit, Push Notifications, In-App Purchases.
• Testing (XCTest, snapshot tests), Fastlane, basic CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Bitrise).
• Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config), A/B testing, growth/ASO basics.
• Localization/i18n, Accessibility, animation skills (Lottie, SwiftUI animations).
• Familiarity with App Store guidelines, TestFlight, beta testing workflows.
• Knowledge of image processing or on-device ML (Core ML, Vision) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Good problem-solving, attention to detail, and a strong willingness to learn.
• Clear communication and ownership mindset.
• Fluent in English.
