AI Engineer (GenAI)

Join a dynamic startup in Germany revolutionising the consumer and lifestyle goods industry with cutting-edge GenAI based artificial intelligence products. Their solutions empower brands to develop products by offering insights into market trends, competitor analysis and generating product ideas.

We are looking for a candidate with deep experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and some recent exposure to Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) or LLM based ML product development.

It is important that you have some experience working on a machine learning-based product E2E, and have worked on projects that have ended up in production. This is a startup, so you need to be independent, proactive and comfortable with a little bit of chaos sometimes.

While your role is focussed on artificial intelligence and machine learning, you will need to sometimes pitch in on data engineering, MLOps and general software engineering. The team is small and you'll be expected to do what is needed to build the product with the team.

Key technical buzzwords you'll have to be familiar with are: Python, NLP, GenAI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Transformers and more.

The role is remote-first and you can work from wherever in the world you like. However we do want a candidate who is willing to travel to the HQ in Cologne every few months to meet with the team, so being based in Germany is a bonus.
