Role Description

We are seeking a full-time AI Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar and/or the UAE. The AI Engineer will design and implement next-generation AI solutions that power intelligent automation, conversational agents, and multilingual NLP systems within enterprise-scale UnifyApps rollouts.

This role requires hands-on expertise in building and deploying agentic AI systems, large language models (LLMs), and Generative AI applications, with the ability to translate complex client requirements into scalable and production-ready solutions. You will work alongside Project Managers and Integration Engineers to ensure advanced AI solutions deliver measurable business value.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement advanced agentic AI systems to optimise complex workflows, integrating RAG pipelines, SQL and vector databases for real-time analytics, benchmarking, and risk assessment.
• Leverage orchestration frameworks (e.g., AutoGen, LangChain, or equivalents) to coordinate collaboration between multiple autonomous agents.
• Develop benchmarking frameworks and leaderboards to evaluate and compare AI agent performance, generating insights to improve reliability, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Contribute to the development and fine-tuning of large-scale language models, including data collection, preprocessing of multilingual corpora, pretraining, and performance evaluation.
• Apply advanced pretraining and instruction-tuning techniques to deliver competitive results across diverse languages and domains.
• Design and implement multilingual NLP solutions (e.g., translation, summarisation, Q&A systems) using cost-efficient data synthesis methodologies to enhance accuracy and reduce development costs.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and domain experts to ensure AI solutions align with business and industry needs.
• Ensure AI solutions are scalable, robust, and maintainable for production deployment.
• Provide technical documentation, best practices, and knowledge transfer to internal and client teams.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–6 years of experience in AI engineering, machine learning, or applied data science.
• Expertise in Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, LLMs, Conversational AI, GPT architectures, Agentic AI, Audio Processing, and Computer Vision.
• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks/tools: LangChain, RAG, PyTorch, AutoGen, TensorFlow, Keras, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, Scikit-learn, FastAI.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, SQL, NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, PySpark.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Experience with data visualisation tools: Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly.
• Proficiency with version control and project tools: GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, JIRA.
• Application development exposure using Elasticsearch, Streamlit, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to move seamlessly between prototyping and production deployment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is required (written and spoken).
