Job purpose:
The Head of IT Operations, Cloud & Enterprise is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the IT infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise applications. This job leads a team of skilled professionals to ensure the availability, performance, and security of our technology systems while driving innovation and efficiency across the organization
Responsibilities :
• Collect and analyse information and evaluate existing or proposed systems, research and recommend appropriate architecture for server/storage hardware, operating systems to ensure proper functioning of corresponding services. This applies to all on-prem and cloud- based resources for IaaS and PaaS.
• Manage, supervise and if needed, be technically involved in the research, planning, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and upgrade of hardware and software interfaces with the operating system (on-prem, IaaS and PaaS).
• Ensure uninterrupted daily operations in the related areas through effective administration and support. • Work with GCIO, peers and business units to build and maintain a DR environment including performing periodic DR drills. Facilitate the BCP process.
• Direct the team to analyses the users’ complaints incidents / problems / Service Requests) with regard to the IT Services within the areas of responsibility. Wherever possible, provide solution or workaround to continue the work without interruptions.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT operations strategy aligned with the organisation's business goals and objectives.
• Drive the adoption of cloud technologies and enterprise solutions to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to provide strategic insights on technology trends and their potential impact on the business.
• Oversee the design, deployment, and management of the organisation's IT infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud-based environments.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of systems, networks, and storage solutions.
• Lead the migration of existing applications and services to cloud platforms while optimizing resource utilisation and cost.
• Manage the selection, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, and collaboration tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align application strategies with business needs, ensuring seamless integration and user experience.
• Build and lead a high-performing IT operations team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, promoting skill enhancement and career growth.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring compliance with SLAs and contractual agreements.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize costs and ensure the delivery of quality services. • Implement and enforce robust security measures to protect the organization's digital assets and sensitive data.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Uphold company values throughout business practices and use sound judgement in decision making.
• Any other added duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
