We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network protocols, troubleshooting, and security to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.

Salary - 4000 AED

Job Type: Temporary - 4 months with a possibility of extension.

What You'll Do

Job Title: L1 Network Engineer

Location: U.A.E.

Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated and technically proficient L1 Network Engineer to join our team.

As an L1 Network Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for network-related issues and will provide support for installation, basic configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring etc. of network devices.

You will work closely with senior network engineers to ensure that all network operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Willingness to work in shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in installation, basic configuration and maintaining network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Provide first-line support for network incidents, including troubleshooting basic network issues and responding to service requests.
  • Monitor network performance and health, ensuring uptime and quick resolution of issues.
  • Perform network diagnostics and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
  • Work with other IT support teams to ensure network availability and stability.
  • Log, track, and resolve support tickets in the incident management system.
  • Maintain network documentation, including configurations, topologies, and issue resolution steps.
  • Support network hardware and software upgrades.
  • Perform routine network maintenance, including backups and software updates.
  • Assist with setting up and configuring network access for new users and devices.
  • Adhere to company policies and best practices related to network security and data protection.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Subnetting, BGP, OSPF, VPN, MPLS etc.).
  • Familiarity with network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Good knowledge of wired and wireless networking technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and basic networking tools (Ping, Traceroute, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a network support or IT support role.
