About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced PHP Architect/Lead Developer to join our agile and innovative technology team on a 6-month contract basis, with the potential for extension. This is a fully remote position that offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that impact various industry sectors, including e-learning, logistics, and enterprise solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the architecture of new features, enhancing existing systems, and mentoring a talented team of developers. You will work with modern PHP frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, and custom MVC solutions, employing best practices in CI/CD and cloud-native architectures to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications hosted on AWS.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP development, with extensive experience in designing and implementing complex enterprise applications. Proven expertise in modern PHP frameworks like Symfony and Laravel, coupled with a solid understanding of software architecture principles, is essential. Candidates should have a deep understanding of relational database design, particularly with MySQL, and be proficient in optimizing database performance through effective schema design and raw SQL queries. Familiarity with Git workflows, REST API integrations, and front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX is required. Additionally, experience with Docker containerization, unit testing, and cloud deployment strategies will be advantageous.
