We are seeking a Risk Analyst to support a high-impact capital markets team at one of Canada’s top financial institutions. The role involves stakeholder collaboration, risk analysis, and reporting to drive accurate assessment and strategic insights. Ideal for candidates with 2-5 years’ experience in counterparty credit risk, this position offers exposure to regulatory frameworks, project-based assignments, and cross-functional team collaboration.Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze risk movements and summarize findings for internal stakeholders
- Collaborate on projects and daily production work
- Respond to and investigate stakeholder inquiries via email
- Generate reports and identify data trends
- Deliver tasks accurately and on schedule
- Support continuous learning and collaboration within a 6-person team
- 2-5 years of capital markets experience focused on counterparty credit risk
- Strong knowledge of Basel III, Client 4210, and related regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, risk management, or a related quantitative field
- Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis
- CFA/FRM candidates or in-progress preferred
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Strong quantitative and analytical reporting background
- Understanding of data processing for control/reporting systems
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in fast-paced settings
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated learner and strong team collaborator
- Comfortable with feedback from peers/stakeholders as performance metric
- Eagerness to grow with new projects and tasks
- Clear judgment under pressure and familiarity with compliance
